Roy grew up in the Boston area and graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in business. After a successful twenty-year career in the silver industry, Roy founded the predecessor Carnegie Wealth Management, LLC in 1985 to provide investment consulting services to high net worth families, foundations, endowments and corporations. In 2017, Roy sold certain assets of the predecessor firm to the successor Carnegie Wealth Management, LLC and became a Registered Representative of the successor Carnegie Wealth Management, LLC at that time.

Roy holds FINRA licenses 7, 24, 63 and 65.

Roy is married to Judy and has two children, Chad and Carrie and 5 grandchildren. He is a member of Whitford Country Club, Winnipesaukee Golf Club and the United Christ Church of Valley Forge.

Scott grew up in suburban Philadelphia. He graduated from LaSalle University where he was on the Dean’s List and also attended Cambridge University in England. In 1991, Scott graduated from the Brigham Young University Law School where he was an editor of the Brigham University Law Review. Scott then worked seven years as an attorney, the first five years in private practice and the remaining two years as a Philadelphia Assistant City Solicitor specializing in municipal finance.  

In 1998, Scott joined Goldman Sachs’s Private Wealth Management group as a vice president where he spent the next 10 years advising successful families, their foundations and endowments on asset allocation, investment management and generational wealth planning. In 2008, Scott was recruited to Lehman Brothers which was subsequently purchased by Barclays. From 2008 through 2016, Scott held various senior roles with Lehman Brothers and Barclays. Scott formed the successor Carnegie Wealth Management in 2017 and acquired certain assets of the predecessor Carnegie Wealth Management from its founder Roy Johnston at that time. In 2018, Carnegie Wealth Management registered itself as a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).

In addition to his law degree, Scott holds FINRA licenses Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65.

Scott is married to Kristen and has two daughters, Sophie and Farrah.  He is a member of Merion Golf Club, The Union League of Philadelphia, Union League National Golf Club, Avalon Yacht Club and attends St. David’s Episcopal Church.

Financial Planner

Amy has been in employed in the financial industry for over 30 years working in various industries including insurance as a life underwriter at Prudential, and in mutual funds and investments with Smith Barney and The Vanguard Group. For the past 20 years, Amy has specialized in comprehensive financial planning working in various boutique firms which focused on estate and tax planning. She has enjoyed working for Carnegie Wealth Management since June of 2010.

Amy earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics with computer science from Gwynedd Mercy College and obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2000. Amy holds FINRA licenses Series 7 and 66 as well as Life and Annuity Insurance licenses.

Amy lives in suburban Pennsylvania with her husband Dennis and enjoys spending time with her three daughters and four grandchildren. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and is an affiliate of the St Stanislaus Church in Lansdale.

Patricia Bruce

Client Service and Operations Manager

Patricia oversees client documentation as well as the organization and management of information exchanged between Carnegie Wealth Management, and the various asset managers and Broker-Dealers with whom Carnegie interacts.

Prior to joining Carnegie, Patricia was director of corporate trading for Sovereign Securities in Philadelphia. She began her career in the financial services industry in the operations area in 1986 and has held a variety of positions in institutional sales & trading. She is a FINRA Registered Representative holding both the Series 7 and Series 63.

Patti is a native of Philadelphia with a large network of family throughout the area.

Mary Gillespie

Client Associate

Mary Gillespie is a Client Associate and joined Carnegie Wealth Management in 2019. Mary focuses on client servicing, client on-boarding and office management.

Mary grew up in Poolesville, Maryland and attended George Mason University which is located in Fairfax, Virginia. Mary graduated from George Mason University’s Honor’s College in 2015 with a degree in Arts-History as a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History National Honor Society. Upon graduation, Mary began her career in wealth management as a Participant Services Associate at Vanguard. Since 2016 and until joining Carnegie, Mary served as the Office Manager of Rogers & Rogers Financial Services, an investment management firm based in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
